Hudson River Plane Landing US Airways Flight 1549 Animation & Audio

By now, everyone’s heard about the plane that went down in the Hudson River in New York City. This happened a few blocks from where I used to live in NY, so this felt somewhat personal because it was so close to home. The pilot’s composure and focus under the circumstances were unbelievable, and he deserves all the attention shown by the media.  If you’ve been wondering, as I have, about what exactly went wrong and how it happened, we now have access to a recreation.  Below is professional 3D animation, accurately reconstructed to match the event accompanied by the sound of the actual accident.  Listen to the pilot as he communicates with air traffic control, displaying the concentration, control and “Just Do It” attitude that, without doubt, was the reason this plane had the perfect landing it did.  Had one wing touched a second before the other, or had the nose gone down a few degrees faster than it did, this wouldn’t have been so happy an ending.  Everything that was said about this man on TV was real and even that wasn’t enough. Listen and watch for yourself. All I know is if next time I get onto a plane and hear, “Welcome to US Airways Flight 843, non-stop from New York to Los Angeles.  Your captain this afternoon is Captain Chesley Sullenberger…”  ohh you’re gonna hear me give the loudest shout out to my boy “Sully” before quickly passing out into the best sleep I’ve ever had in flight.

This is how you keep it real!!!. That pilot has some serious brass!!!!

GOD SPEED to captain Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger III and its crew from flight 1549
